Can I place more than one Registration Order?
Yes. You can “Register for DS-75” from your My Account page as many times as you like. There is of course no need to duplicate attendees in successive registrations. However, we give you the flexibility to place multiple registration orders. This may be useful if you’ve omitted an attendee in earlier orders either intentionally or in error.

What is 3D Secure and why do I need it to pay with my Credit Card?
Our website links to the HDFC Payment Gateway which in turn uses “3-D Secure”, an added layer of security for online credit and debit card transactions. It was developed by Visa to improve the security of Internet payments and offered to customers as the Verified by Visa service. Services based on the protocol have also been adopted by MasterCard, under the name MasterCard SecureCode, and by JCB International as J/Secure. 3-D Secure adds another authentication step for online payments.

3-D Secure should not be confused with the Card Security Code which is a short numeric code that is printed on the card.

I’ve tried to make my payment online… the screen just freezes. What is the problem?
The payment gateway page that you arrive at is actually located on the servers of HDFC Bank. The speed and availability of this payment gateway is unfortunately completely beyond our control. You may need to try multiple times to get through. However, in order to make to make it easier for you, if you have previously entered a registration order, you will see a link in your My Account page called “View Pending Attempts”. Clicking on this link will save you the effort required to re-type the registration order.

FYI: The ds-75.com website does not capture and store any payment details.

I tried to make a payment and it didn’t work. Do I have to re-enter the form with all the names and birth dates?
Due to factors beyond our control (e.g. the payment gateway may be experiencing high transaction volumes, your internet connection is not optimal etc.), it is possible that the payment/order may not get processed. Should this happen, your registration/order is classified as “pending”.

To make things easier, we have designed a mechanism for you to prevent “re-entering” your registration form all over again with attendee information (Name, Date of Birth etc.).

Login to your account with your username and password. Then click on the “View Pending Orders” link on the top of the page. Thereafter, click the “Pay Now” link next to the pending order and you will be taken to the payment gateway link. Detailed instructions are on the “View Pending Orders” page.

I have forgotten my Username/Password.How can I recover it?
We have designed a “Security Question” system for you to help recover your username or password. When you first create your username and password, we ask you to select your security question and provide an answer that only you know. Please select a question/answer combination that is likely to be unique and is something you will remember.

If you forget your username or password in the future, click the "Forgot Username/Password" link on the login screen and we will ask you to answer the security question that you have entered. Thereafter, you must at least provide either your email id OR your Username. You will then be guided on screen and be able to view your username, as well as re-enter a new password.

Who can attend the DS-75 Event?
The DS-75 Event is open to Old Boys, Parents of Boys in School, Families of Old Boys (Parents & Siblings) and Friends (including ex-masters, Associate DSOBS members, former exchange students etc.)

Do I need to carry my photo ID to the DS-75 event?
Yes, a valid Photo ID is compulsory for all adult attendees. Acceptable Photo IDs are your Passport, Driving License, PAN card or Voter ID card. These will be physically checked before your event pass is issued to you, and also at the entry gates. If you have registered other attendees, you must be able to vouch for their credentials. And they must in turn carry valid Photo IDs. For those below 16 years of age, we recommend that they carry their Photo IDs but will not insist as long as someone present(a parent, relative, friend) can physically vouch for them.

How can I register a non-Dosco, a parent of a Dosco, a non-Dosco sibling etc.?
The DS-75 Celebration is open to all well wishers and friends of The Doon School. However, we require that you tell us about yourself and your relationship with the school, in your own words.

For example:
  1. I'm an Old Boy’s mother, and the sister of a Dosco. and the sister of a Dosco.
  2. My brother was a Dosco, and his kids are Doscos.
  3. I'm an ex-master of the school, and my kid is a Dosco.
  4. I'm an associate member of the DSOBS.
  5. My father is a Dosco, I was in Welham Girls and my sons are Doscos now.
  6. My two brothers and three cousins studied at Doon. I was in Mayo.
On the DS-75 website, there are two places where we ask for the description of the attendees i.e. their relationship with the school. The first place is when one creates a new account on the website. You get 3 options to describe yourself i.e. a) An Old Boy b) A Parent and c) Other. Selecting “Other” allows you to describe, in your own words, your relationship with the school in the text box on the screen. The second place is when you actually want to "register and pay online". On this registration form, under the column "Attendee Description" you can describe, in your own words, the attendee’s relationship with the school. We want all our well wishers to attend DS-75 and have left it to the website users to describe this relationship in their own words.

How much will it cost?
For a single individual, the cost of attending the DS-75 Event is Rs 2010. The event is free for attendees below the age of 16 years as on October 1st, 2010. However, you must still register those under 16 as they will need an Event Pass to enter school.

What does the cost include?
The cost includes a Welcome Kit which contains, amongst other things, your Event Pass. The cost also covers Dinner and Drinks on Friday, October 22nd (for Old Boys only) and Saturday, October 23rd.  This Welcome Kit will be issued 15 days prior to the event either at the DSOBS Secretariat in Delhi, or at the Registration Counters at the School.  All you have to do is present a Photo-ID and a Registration Number which you can find in the "My Account" section of this website.  We'll update you on the Welcome Kit closer to the Event.

How do I get to Dehra Dun (road, rail, air)?
You can get to Dehra Dun by Car, Bus, Train or Air.

How do I find my batchmates and other Dosco’s living near me?
Once you register on the website, visit the My Account page and you will see a link to Regional Representatives (and we have them for popular countries/regions) and Class Representatives. These lists will only be visible if you have successfully registered and paid for the event.

What are my Payment Options for DS-75?
You can make your payment for DS-75 through one of three methods.
  1. Via Credit Card (Visa and MasterCard ONLY)
  2. Through Online Money Transfer from your bank directly into ours.
  3. By sending us a cheque/demand draft/ pay order
For options 2 and 3 above, you CAN register online (attendee names/details etc.) on our website and separately send your Online Wire Transfer or Cheque/DD/Pay Order. If you wish, you may also use the printed Registration Form which you can download by clicking here. You do NOT need to do both, i.e. register online AND send us a printed form. However in either case, your payment must reach us in order to confirm your registration.

    Please mention clearly DS 75 on the back of the Cheque/Demand Draft to indicate the purpose.

How do I check if my payment has been received and my registration confirmed?
Your registration is marked as “pending” till such time that we receive your payment and associate it with your account. We will update your status on the website so please check back frequently. You can view the status of your registration by following these steps.
  1. Login to the DS-75.com website with your username/password.
  2. Click on the “View Pending Attempts” link on the top of the page.
  3. If you do not see any items in Pending Attempts, it implies that your registration is confirmed.
  4. Click “View Registration/Order Details” to view your confirmed registration.
